This type of tea warmer is called "Veilleuse". In 18th and 19th century it was kept on the bedside table for light and hot tea at night .
A candle or oil tray was placed in the stand with the dual use of making light and keeping the teapot warm.
Three-pieces set: stand with scalloped edge, teapot and teapot lid.
White porcelain with hand painted decor in pink and black with golden accents.
Good vintage condition with flaws: the teapot has a large crack on one side and a small chip at the base. The lid has a large crack and the stand a very small chip. Price accordingly, but remember that it is almost 200 years old!
