Rare antique baroque holy water font, hand made of embossed pewter, depicting the Holy Mary as Immaculate Conception, standing over the world and crushing the serpent of evil.
The stoup has a 7-sided basin with pedestal, it stands alone or it can be hung.
Made in Germany, late 1700s.
No marks.
A great original piece for a collector.
Very good antique condition with genuine patina.
The flat part of the back seems to have been polished with a wire brush that has removed the patina, visible instead in the dimpled parts and on the front.
